Welcome to our website. Here you will be able to find information of all kinds about chainsaws for sale in all their various sizes and models. There is a wide variety of choices and manufacturers available, ranging from the ever-popular to the more specialized models, as well as from lightweight to heavy duty.
Having the best chainsaw for the job is essential for both your safety and for getting the job done with the minimum of fuss and effort. You can have an electric chainsaw. These do have their limitations in that you have to use the saw within the length of the power lead. And of course, you have to be within reach of a power supply, or carry your own generator around with you.
Most people prefer the kind of chainsaw that has it's own small internal combustion engine. These tend to be small, lightweight motors that are not very heavy, allowing easy manipulation of the chainsaw. The controls are hand operated and also act as the handles taking the weight of the chainsaw.
A chainsaw is a potentially dangerous power tool. It should only be used by those who have had the proper training, and who are wearing the proper safety clothing. While most of those who use a chainsaw respect the latent power of the tool, there are few who do not remember the fictional horror film where a psychopath went on the rampage in Texas wielding one.
Chainsaws tend to be known by their manufacturers. Names like Echo, Husqvarna and McCulloch, as well as a few others, dominate the market. A first time buyer would be well advised to get a popular make as its very popularity usually means that it has a good safety record, and it is easy to use.
And finally... There's a joke about a huge big tough guy who is also a bit dim witted, and who wants to become a lumberjack. He goes up to Canada and finds a place where they're hiring. He asks the foreman if he can have a job.
The foreman looks him over and says, "You're a big strong man, so I don't think that will be a problem. However, every man in this team has to cut down 100 trees a day minimum. Here's a chainsaw, go out into the forest and see what you can do. You have three days to get up to speed. If you can't make the 100 trees minimum at the end of the third day, then I'm afraid I can't hire you, but I don't think you'll have a problem."
The big tough guy sets off with his chainsaw to cut down trees. At the end of the first day he reports back to the foreman. He managed to cut down 87 trees. "That's a great start," the foreman tells him. "You'll do better tomorrow."
At the end of the second day he reports back to the foreman again. His total for day two is 93. "Great!" says the foreman. "You should easily make the 100 mark by the end of tomorrow. I have faith in you.
At the end of the third day he reports back to the foreman with a sad dejected look. His total for the third day is only 99. "I can't understand it," says the foreman. "You look like the kind of guy who could easily do it. Maybe your chainsaw has a problem. Let me take a look." The man hands over the chainsaw and the foreman pulls the cord and starts it up, revving the engine.
The big tough guy leaps back in shock and exclaims, "Jeez! What's that noise?"
The moral of the story is this: brute strength can do wonders most of the time, but a good chainsaw can always do better!
